Boston Globe Write-Up for Louis L. Sutro

Of Needham, Dec. 28, 2004, age 89, scientist and design engineer, graduate of Harvard College, Class of 1938, long associated with MIT and the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory.

Survived by his wife Ruth (Wilson) Sutro, 3 children, Joy S. Truman and her husband Dale of Storrs, CT, Sarah Sutro and her husband Michael Bedford of Winchester, and Roger W. Sutro and his wife Marcia House of West Kingston, RI, 3 grandsons, Daniel Truman of Astoria, NY, James Truman of Baltimore, MD, and Will Bedford-Sutro of Winchester. Brother of Frederick C. Sutro Jr. of Sewickley, PA and the late Ogden W. Sutro. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the First Parish in Needham Unitarian Universalist, 23 Dedham Av., Needham. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Memorial Fund of First Parish in Needham U.U., 23 Dedham Av., Needham, MA 02492 or to the Alzheimers Association, 36 Cameron Av, Cambridge, Ma 02140.
